In 2021, the Dione Youth Association undertook the production of theatrical plays, primarily during
the summer and fall of that year. One of the plays was based on the book “Τα Μη Αρσενικά”. An
exact translation of the title does not exist, as it is an idiomatic phrase.
The play focused on existential struggles, exploring the tragic concepts of “Who am I? What am I?
Where do I belong?”. The underlying story revolved around characters facing conflicting
perspectives and paradoxical stances towards life and reality.
The book was nominated in 2018 as a candidate for an award by the Ministry of Education and
Culture in Cyprus.
The performances took place on:
September 1, 2021, at the Lakatamia Amphitheatre
September 3 & 4, 2021, at the Municipal Amphitheatre of Deryneia
All net proceeds from the performances were donated to the Pancyprian Association of Cancer
Patients and Friends (PASYKAF). This project was carried out under the direct aegis of PASYKAF.
