Objectives
The project aims to reduce the gender gap between men and women in professional fields.
The main objectives of the project are:
– Increase awareness on women discrimination in the labor market
– Increase knowledge on women empowerment
– Increase entrepreneurship skills of the youth workers
– Raise awareness about the reality of women entrepreneurs
– Favour networking among women
The project provides Youth Workers to expand their understanding and capabilities regarding
identifying and addressing gender disparities, as well as acquiring skills and abilities related
to female entrepreneurship. By sharing their newfound knowledge with women in their local
communities, the Youth Workers can help to narrow the gender gap and enhance the lives of
women and young girls in the area.
Activities
The project "FEMpowerment" took place in Larnaca in March 2024 involved a total number of 30 YW
coming from the following countries: Cyprus, Romania, Armenia, Germany and Egypt
